The School Day

Children enter the site via the main playground gate from 8.35am. At 8.45am children enter school and attend registration.

Gates are locked to secure the site. Please accompany any children arriving after the gates are locked to the office or to a member of the Senior Leadership team who may still be outside.

Teaching time ends at 3.15pm.  Children prepare to go home. Gates are unlocked to allow parents and carers access to collect children.

The school week totals 32.5 hours.

Being punctual in the mornings gives your child time to organise their belongings, greet their friends and begin the day in a calm way.  Not only does lateness lead to lost learning, it also means a child feels less prepared and less settled at the start of the day. 

In the event that your child is absent from school, it is essential that the school office is notified by 8.30 a.m.  After this time, any child's absence that is not accounted for becomes a safeguarding concern.  We are duty-bound to inform Children's Social Care if we are unable to make contact to establish the child's whereabouts.  Please ensure that we have two up-to-date emergency contact telephone numbers for your child/ren.
